He wanted to sow the seeds of democracy

Hoping

They will bear

The fruits of justice and happiness

But the whole world knew

He was motivated

More by holy oil

Than freedom of the masses

Little did he know

In such a short time

He would be tasting the bitter fruits

Of civil wars

When would he realize

His dream of a New Middle East

Is soaked in blood

Painfully transforming into a violent nightmare.
